Friendshipbook: Florence Kemigsha

BY: Ilia Van Campenhout | ON: April 14, 2019

Because real friends have a friendshipbook!

Daktari Project team members and Kilembe Mines Hospital staff members are like two peas in a pod. We have been working together for several years and have an incredible bond by now. We thought it was about time to introduce some of our dearest friends to our Belgian and Ugandan supporters.

My name is Florence Kemigsha but you can call me …

My birthday is on 16/10/1982

I have known Daktari Project for 7 years … months … weeks.

My hobbies are:

  1. Staying with children
  2. Eating chapati’s  Netball
  3. Dancing

If I have to choose between two things, I choose:

Staying up late – getting up early

Leader– follower

Cooking– eating

Uganda– Belgium

Chapati– Belgian Fries

Book – Movie

Team– solo

Being able to fly– being able to be invisible

You can wake me up in the middle of the night to eat rice.

This is my bucketlist:

1. Good house

2. Go abroad

3. Education, be a registered midwife

I cannot live without my children.

When I was a child I wanted to be midwife. Nowadays I work as a midwife.

This is my greatest skill midwifery but I am really bad at handcraft.

This is how I see Kilembe Mines Hospital in 10 years: it will look nice.

My biggest wish is my children to stay healthy.

This is Kilembe Mines Hospital in 3 words:

  1. Committed
  2. Teamwork
  3. Quality care

If I would make a movie about the staff of Kilembe Mines Hospital, I would call it

“ a friendly hospital”.
