Because real friends have a friendshipbook!
Daktari Project team members and Kilembe Mines Hospital staff members are like two peas in a pod. We have been working together for several years and have an incredible bond by now. We thought it was about time to introduce some of our dearest friends to our Belgian and Ugandan supporters.
My name is Ilia Van Campenhout but you can call me ili
My birthday is on April 12th
I have known Daktari Project for 7 years 6 months 3 weeks.
My hobbies are:
- Trying to improve the Daktari website
- Eating chapati’s
- Eating other delicious food
If I have to choose between two things, I choose:
Staying up late – getting up early
Leader – follower
Cooking – eating
Uganda – Belgium
Chapati – Belgian Fries
Book – Movie
Team – solo
Being able to fly – being able to be invisible
You can wake me up in the middle of the night to eat.
This is my bucketlist:
1. Have sheep
2. Help Daktari Project grow
3. Have a dog herd sheep
I cannot live without food
When I was a child I wanted to be an astronaut. Nowadays I work as a general surgery resident
This is my greatest skill: being forever studious, but I am really bad at being hungry
This is how I see Kilembe Mines Hospital in 10 years: a regional hospital with multidisciplinary team and at least one general surgeon
My biggest wish is to know what the future will hold and live healthy and happy to see it all
This is Kilembe Mines Hospital in 3 words:
1. Kilembe
2. Mines
3. Hospital
If I would make a movie about the staff of Kilembe Mines Hospital, I would call it ‘Always there’
