Because real friends have a friendshipbook!
Daktari Project team members and Kilembe Mines Hospital staff members are like two peas in a pod. We have been working together for several years and have an incredible bond by now. We thought it was about time to introduce some of our dearest friends to our Belgian and Ugandan supporters.
My name is Jozefien Verraes but you can call me Joske.
My birthday is on 29/12/1982.
I have known Daktari Project for 4 years 2 months 1 week.
My hobbies are:
- Pilates
- Eating chapati’s
- Going for a run
If I have to choose between two things, I choose:
Staying up late– getting up early
Leader – follower
Cooking – eating
Uganda – Belgium
Chapati – Belgian Fries
Book – Movie
Team– solo
Being able to fly– being able to be invisible
You can wake me up in the middle of the night to eat Maltezers/chocolate.
This is my bucketlist:
1. Coming to Uganda with my children Lou & Nina.
2. Travelling to South-Africa.
3. Being healthy for a long time.
I cannot live without love.
When I was a child I wanted to be midwife. Nowadays I work as a midwife.
This is my greatest skill: socialising. but I am really bad at being patience.
This is how I see Kilembe Mines Hospital in 10 years with a new maternity.
My biggest wish is to have grandchildren.
This is Kilembe Mines Hospital in 3 words:
1. one family
2. warm
3. nice surroundings, beautiful mountains
If I would make a movie about the staff of Kilembe Mines Hospital, I would call it
“life as it is”.
